Proposal for Demonstration Project Summary Dynamic, interactive patient education plays a critical role in improving patient safety, ensuring quality of care, and ultimately reducing costs. This document suggests changes to CMS meaningful use (MU) requirements for patient education that will help ensure that patients are provided timely, useful education and that outcomes can be tracked and reported effectively.
